The Process
We do business a little differently than most companies. We’re transparent. Inspired by a new model called Collaborative Consumption, we invite our clients to be equal partners in the process – and even to have input into how we will work in the future. We like to think of it as grassroots design. And Fox Designs as a one-stop design shop. Our process has four simple yet distinct phases.Learn more about how we work below.
–DISCOVER:
In this phase, we collaborate on brainstorming and ideation. Because we consider your project (no matter how big or how small) to be art, this phase can’t be rushed.We’ll explore and define your needs, both known and unknown. We’ll get to know each other and see if we’re a good match. Our designer only works with 1-2 clients at a time to make sure we can really do things right. We’ll get to the heart of your vision.
-DEFINE:
Here’s where things start to become tangible. We’ll specify what we’re making, who will do the work, how long it will take and how much it will cost. We are incredibly flexible with resources. It all goes back to an emphasis on transparency. Depending on what we’re creating, we’ll choose the best person/maker for your job.
-DESIGN:
Our approach to the design phase is egalitarian. Our designer will never push you in a direction, but instead will facilitate the unfolding of your vision. Our designer has done all the hands-on work before. He’s a maker. This helps with choosing who will execute your project. And it ensures that your design will be both beautiful and functional.
-DELIVER:
Since our goal is for you to be happy, we will do an exit review to talk about what worked well for you and what could work better next time. You become part of the future of the company and its process. We may ask you for a testimonial or reference. And we may even give you a discount on your next job if you refer more business our way.
